Stock Photography Ep. 8 – How To Calibrate a Monitor Without a Colorimeter

The best way to calibrate a monitor involves using tools like colorimeter. However, most of us don't have such tools at home, and this tutorial will show you how to do it without any professional tools involved. The quality of this kind of calibration however could vary.

Monitor calibration is one of the most important steps in the preparation for image editing. If you are thinking about selling photos online be sure to watch the whole tutorial, because the creation of stock photography often requires an extensive knowledge on white balance (color balance), gamma, and contrast. I created this tutorial to show you how to calibrate the monitor at home. Once you do it, your monitor will remember the settings, so you don't have to repeat the process of calibration over and over.
